Tottenham will reportedly complete the signing of Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele on Tuesday.

Spurs have already confirmed the signing of Leeds United attacker Jack Clarke on Tuesday morning, with the 18-year-old returning to Elland Road on loan for next season.

According to Sky Sports, Ndombele has arrived at the Spurs training ground and began a medical on Tuesday morning.

It is understood that a deal is expected to be completed later today for a club-record £65million and he will pen a five-year contract.

Ndombele is a central midfielder that has just enjoyed an excellent individual campaign for Lyon and is also a France international.

The 22-year-old is a box-to-box midfielder that looks like he could be an ideal replacement for Mousa Dembele at the North London club.

TBR’s View:

Clarke’s arrival at Spurs has ended the 517 day streak of not signing any players, with Lucas Moura the previous one to join in January 2018.

It looks like Pochettino’s team could remarkably land two on the same day and the latter would be a colossal addition.

Ndombele is exactly the type of signing that should excite Spurs fans, as he’s a Rolls-Royce midfielder that has proven himself in Europe and will immediately improve their starting XI.

Spurs look set to show some real ambition with a club-record fee for the Lyon powerhouse and he looks a perfect fit for the Premier League.
