Report: Tottenham target Zabarnyi is set to join London club

Tottenham Hotspur target Illya Zabarnyi is set to join a club in London in the coming days, with Dynamo Kyiv Inside reporting that an offer has come in from unnamed side.

If Zabarnyi is Premier League-bound, the smart money surely suggests that he is off to Spurs. Alasdair Gold previously reported that they are really interested in the 19-year-old.

And the journalist suggested that they could make a future move for the centre-back if the right opportunity came along.

That opportunity appears to have come along – for someone. Dynamo Kyiv Inside reports that Zabarnyi is heading to England and will join an unnamed club in London in the coming days.

Clearly, Tottenham will be favourites for a deal. They are the side seemingly most heavily linked with a move. And Fabio Paratici has done an excellent job of delivering the players Antonio Conte wants.

Based on Gold’s comments, they are also unlikely to let the chance pass them by if another Premier League side have now made a move.

But there are other sides in the top-flight who may have their eye on the teenager.

Arsenal signed Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer. Surely, it is not out of the question that he recommended his international teammate to Edu.

Meanwhile, a club such as Brentford will surely be aware of the defender. They have done some amazing business in the market over the last few years. And obviously, his pathway to the first-team is clearer with Thomas Frank’s side.

But of course, the links with Tottenham make them the clear favourites for the time-being.
