Report: Tottenham target Marcel Sabitzer likes AC Milan 'a lot'
Tottenham may be facing an uphill battle as they look to land Marcel Sabitzer, with Calciomercato hinting that the midfielder is very keen on a move to AC Milan this summer.
Sabitzer looks set to be one of the most high-profile movers in this window. As noted by Calciomercato, he is now into the final year of his contract with RB Leipzig.
It is claimed that the Bundesliga side have not given up hope of convincing Sabitzer to sign fresh terms. However, there are some attractive opportunities on the table.
According to Calciomercato, Sabitzer is wanted by Spurs, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan.
The report states that he likes the Rossoneri ‘a lot’ – seemingly hinting that he would be very keen to move to San Siro.
Sabitzer has a release clause of £42.8 million. But Calciomercato claims that he could leave for just £21.4 million.
Paratici would make huge statement by bringing Sabitzer to Tottenham ahead of AC Milan
It would be a major coup if Spurs could sign Sabitzer. The Austrian has established himself as an outstanding midfielder and captain with Die Roten Bullen.
It is no surprise to see the likes of Dortmund and Milan also keen. So it would be a huge statement if Fabio Paratici could bring him to North London.
One of his Euro 2020 displays blew away many Tottenham fans on social media. So the majority of supporters would be over the moon if he joined them this summer.
But they appear to have work to do with a Milan move seemingly appealing to Sabitzer.
