According to a report from The Telegraph, Southampton striker Danny Ings wants out of the club amid interest from Spurs this week.
Tottenham are said to be keen on signing Ings, who has just under 18 months left on his current contract. However, this latest report will boost Jose Mourinho’s pursuit, with Ings apparently wanting a move to a Champions League contenders.

The former Burnley striker has been instrumental for Southampton this season and has flourished under Ralph Hassenhuttl. After hitting 25 goals last term, Ings has fired in seven Premier League goals in 14 this year.
But that form has led to interest and after struggling at Liverpool previously, it appears Ings wants another pop at the big time.

The Saints are said to be reluctant to lose Ings but face losing him for nothing in 2022. Spurs, then, could well tempt Hassenhuttl into a sale similar to how they did with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the summer.
TBR View: Ings and Kane is a frightening link and the Spurs man rates him
Bringing in someone to partner or back Harry Kane up is always going to be Spurs’ most difficult task but Ings would certainly fit the bill if he’s willing to be a bit patient.
Kane is a fan of Ings, too. Back in 2015, the England skipper described Ings as ‘a great player’ and a ‘great prospect for English football’.
The thought of them pairing up in north London is a mouth-watering one for Spurs fans. Ings has 50 goals in the Premier League now, more than proving his pedigree at this level.
