According to Paolo Paganini, Tottenham have submitted a offer to Napoli for Lorenzo Insigne, who is also wanted by Liverpool.
What’s the story?
Well, speaking on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, the journalist confirmed that Napoli had received an ‘important’ bid from Spurs.
As quoted by Area Napoli, Paganini said: “The most important offers have come from abroad, especially from Tottenham. After the European Championship, Lorenzo has many new admirers.”
Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio are also keen, as the Italian dreams of a frontline containing Insigne, Ciro Immobile and Felipe Anderson.
However, it seems as if Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have submitted the most attractive offer, as things stand.
Insigne – who won EURO 2020 with Italy – currently finds himself struggling to agree a new contract with Napoli, as Area Napoli mention.
Tottenham face competition from Liverpool

If Tottenham are to sign the £83,000-a-week man, they need to fend off a significant competitor in Liverpool.
The Reds are said to be keen on signing the 30-year-old, and Jürgen Klopp has already professed his love for the 47-cap Italy international before.
Ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Napoli, the German called Insigne an ‘outstanding‘ player – it’s safe to say he’s a fan.

In our view, Tottenham should be worried about Liverpool.
Anfield is currently a far more attractive destination than N17, as Liverpool can offer Insigne Champions League football.
Whether the Italian will ignore that to play in the UEFA Conference League remains to be seen.
