Report: Tottenham submit £30m bid for long-term target, but his club want £42.9m
According to L’Interista, Tottenham have submitted a bid worth €35m (£30m) for Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.
What’s the story?
Well, the Italian news outlet believe Tottenham have offered €30m (£25.7m) with an extra €5m (£4.3m) in add-ons.
However, both Inter Milan and Skriniar have rejected the approach.
However, an offer of €50m (£42.9m) would make Inter Milan think again.
The Italian giants need to raise €100m (£85.7m) after finding themselves in a bit of bother financially.
Tottenham are obsessed with Milan Skriniar
By the sounds of it, Spurs are desperate to land the 26-year-old.
The north Londoners were said to be one step away from signing the centre-back in September while José Mourinho was in charge.
Going even further back, Spurs are believed to have scouted Skriniar in December 2019.
In that respect, they’ll be devastated to hear he’s rejected their approach.
In our view, the main task is convincing Skriniar, as Inter Milan find themselves in need of cash and cannot keep rejecting offers.
Hopefully, Nuno Espírito Santo and Fabio Paratici can find a way to bring the Slovakian to N17.
