90 Min reports that Tottenham Hotspur are still keen to sign World Cup star Sofyan Amrabat – after he was desperate to join them back in January.
Spurs have already added two midfielders to Antonio Conte’s squad after he took charge last November. Fabio Paratici snapped up Yves Bissouma over the summer and brought in Rodrigo Bentancur back in January.
While Bissouma is still finding his feet in north London, Bentancur has been a revelation in midfield after he was seemingly brought in over Amrabat.
Fabrizio Romano claimed back in January that the 26-year-old was ‘waiting’ to join Spurs. Of course, a move never materialised and Bentancur made the switch from Juventus instead.
But after a brilliant World Cup campaign with Morocco, Spurs are still interested in signing Amrabat.

Tottenham still keen on Amrabat
90 Min claims that Tottenham and Liverpool hold an interest in bringing Amrabat to the Premier League.
The outlet notes Spurs have a ‘long-standing’ interest in the Fiorentina midfielder and were close to signing him in January. Fabio Paratici and Spurs are still monitoring the Moroccan’s progress in Italy.
Amrabat is enjoying an ‘outstanding’ World Cup with Morocco and has helped them to their first ever quarter-finals appearance.
They managed to secure a surprise penalty shootout win over Spain yesterday and Amrabat put in another eye-catching display from midfield.

Spurs fans weren’t particularly impressed by the links to the Fiorentina man just under a year ago, with many underwhelmed due to his form in Italy.
His World Cup displays may have changed their opinions but they will undoubtedly still be grateful Spurs ended up with Bentancur instead.
Amrabat would be a decent option for Antonio Conte but he is very similar to the midfielders he already has at his disposal.
His form has also been slightly patchy for Fiorentina, despite the fact he’s starred in Qatar. Spurs seem to be more in need of a creative player in the middle of the park and Amrabat is too similar to their current options.
