Tottenham Hotspur could offer Hugo Lloris a new contract at the start of January with talks set to start in the new year, according to a report from Tuttomercatoweb.
As things stand, Lloris’ deal with Spurs expires at the end of the campaign. And with Pierluigi Gollini arriving on loan, some may have anticipated that Tottenham were starting to prepare for life after Lloris.

Of course, he could still move on. It was recently suggested that the Frenchman is hoping to move to Major League Soccer at some stage in his career.
But it would appear that Tottenham are now hoping that Lloris will extend his stay beyond this season.

Tuttomercatoweb reports that the chances of the 34-year-old extending his contract for a further year are increasing.
And contact with his representatives over fresh terms are set to reopen in January. It is suggested that he could soon receive an offer for an extension.
Lloris form suggests goalkeeper has plenty more to give Tottenham before leaving
Lloris is now into the twilight of his career. And he is perhaps not playing at the level that made him one of the world’s best for several years.
But he has arguably been one of Tottenham’s top performers over the last 12 months. And unfortunately, Gollini is yet to show whether he will be good enough to succeed Lloris or not.
Holding onto Lloris for one more year therefore, could prove to be a real boost for Antonio Conte.
Tottenham still need to find their future number one. But having more time to find Lloris’ successor will only aid the process.
