Tottenham have reportedly turned away approaches for their defender Kyle Walker-Peters this summer.
According to the Sun, the 22-year-old could start the season as the first-choice right-back and get the opportunity to try be the successor to Kieran Trippier.
It is understood that Crystal Palace and Brighton want the full-back on a season-long loan, while German side RB Leipzig are also keen.
But the report details that Mauricio Pochettino wants the defender around the first-team for the new campaign and all enquiries have been turned down.
Pochettino plans to give Walker-Peters the chance to be the new right-back, as they need to find a replacement for Trippier following his exit to Atletico Madrid.
Walker-Peters may start the first day of the Premier League season, as Juan Foyth is suspended and Serge Aurier is late back from the Africa Cup of Nations.
He’s a product of the academy and looking to make a senior breakthrough, something which the likes of Harry Winks and Harry Kane have done in recent years.
Walker-Peters played 10 first-team games last season across all competitions, but the 2019/20 campaign could be a real breakout for him.

TBR’s View:
It’s a good sign for Walker-Peters that Spurs want to keep him around and he needs to make the most of the chances he gets.
He is a quick right-back that is an attacking threat when he bombs forward and he supplied three assists in one game against Bournemouth.
Spurs begin their league season at home to newly-promoted Aston Villa and it’s a great opportunity for Walker-Peters to start well.
