Reports in Italy regarding Inter Milan’s transfer plans will be of particular interest to Tottenham Hotspur fans, regarding midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
As reported by The Sun this week, Tottenham have decided they will now let the French international leave after just one season at the club.
Tottenham do not feel that the club-record signing has reacted positively to specialised training methods and the extra attention that has been paid to him by Jose Mourinho.
With that in mind, they are ready to cut their losses, with Antonio Conte reportedly keen on bringing him to Inter.
However, a report from La Repubblica has cast fresh doubt over any interest.
It is claimed that Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal is now closing in on having his contract at the Nou Camp terminated, which should lead to a free transfer move to the Serie A giants.
That would, according to the report see the interest in Ndombele ‘definitely dropped’ despite Tottenham now being more receptive to a sale than ever before.
The report also claims that Tottenham have refused the option to potentially sell Ndombele to Inter in a deal that would see Ivan Perisic head in the other direction.
That is despite Jose Mourinho being a well-known fan of the Croatian, a player he previously wanted at Manchester United during his time at Old Trafford, as reported by the BBC.
But it seems Tottenham see no need for Perisic in their current team and would instead like to sell Ndombele for as close as his price-tag from last summer as possible.
However, if Inter get Vidal, it appears the Italian side will be taking the Frenchman off the shopping list.
