Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly still interested in a possible move for full-back Nordi Mukiele.

According to Sky Sports, Spurs have continued to monitor the player’s development since he joined RB Leipzig in 2018 having been interested in him during his Montpellier days.

Mukiele has been in impressive form for the German outfit so far in 2019/20, helping the team climb to the summit of the Bundesliga after 17 games with the joint second-best defensive record.

He has been a mainstay in the team, featuring mainly in his natural right-back position – although he has filled in at centre-half and right wing a few times.

Tottenham’s right-back struggles have been well documented this season and it is thought to be the position Jose Mourinho is most likely to strengthen this month.

TBR’s view – Mukiele would be an exciting Tottenham addition

Tottenham would be making a very exciting signing if they managed to land Mukiele in January.

The France U21 international stands at 6ft 2in tall, is quick and can play in multiple positions.

Having played as a centre-half and a right-winger, perhaps he would be very well suited to playing as a right-sided central defender in a three-at-the-back system.
