According to a report from The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur have made Andre Onana their top target as they prepare for life without Hugo Lloris, and they are planning to make a January bid for the Ajax stopper.
The goalkeeper situation at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has become a key issue for Mauricio Pochettino to address. Lloris has been an outstanding servant, and will go down as one of the Premier League’s greatest stoppers.

However, it appears that his mixed form at the start of the season has left Spurs making plans. The Frenchman is out until the New Year. And it would seem that Tottenham may have little intention of letting him regain the number one spot.
The Sun reports that Onana is their top target between the sticks. Ajax are reportedly open to selling the 23-year-old, with The Sun reporting that they would want between £30 and £35 million.

The report notes that Onana first attracted Tottenham’s attention in last season’s Champions League. The Cameroon international was part of the side that looked destined to reach the final of the competition at Spurs’ expense before one of the most incredible turnarounds.

It is interesting that Tottenham are reportedly planning a January move. The Sun reports that Spurs would have to offload Lloris first, and that is not going to be easy given his current injury.
Onana looks to be a fantastic target. Replacing Lloris is not going to be an easy task by any means. But the youngster looks to have frightening potential, and Ajax’s asking price is hardly eye-watering in today’s game.
He looks to have the talent to fill the void Lloris will eventually leave. Tottenham surely cannot afford to sit back and let him head elsewhere.
