Crystal Palace’s Christian Benteke has reportedly been made available to Tottenham amid their striker crisis.
According to the Telegraph, Spurs have been offered the chance to sign the Belgian centre-forward.
The report explains that Jose Mourinho’s team are chasing an attacker after losing Harry Kane to injury until April, which means they find themselves in a weak negotiating position.
Benteke remarkably has 70 goals in 216 Premier League appearances during his career, but his for has disappeared in recent years.
The colossus striker managed 17 goals in all competitions during the 2016/17 campaign, but since then he’s gone massively downhill.
He managed just four goals in the previous two seasons combined and this campaign is yet to get on the scoresheet in 16 appearances.

TBR’s View:
Benteke is quite clearly not the answer to Spurs’ problems in attack and they need a goalscorer to arrive this month to fill the void left by Kane, with so many betters attackers speculated about.
The 29-year-old Palace forward is fortunate to still be in the top-flight right now after some dreadful seasons and he just needs to continue trying to work hard at Selhurst Park to rediscover some confidence in front of goal.
Mourinho should receive the backing of the Spurs hierarchy to go sign a quality attacker in January, even if the Kane injury has backed them into a corner slightly.
