Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Napoli’s Victor Osimhen as ‘the ideal replacement for Harry Kane’.
This is according to journalist Rudy Galetti, who wrote about Spurs’ purported interest in the 23-year-old on his website.
Tottenham have one of the best strikers in the world in Kane, but speculation around his future remains.

Over the past few weeks, Bayern Munich have apparently expressed an interest in signing the England captain.
Kane’s contract expires in the summer of 2024, and if he doesn’t agree an extension soon, plenty of clubs are bound to start circling round.
With that in mind, Spurs are seemingly keeping tabs on players who could come in to replace the 29-year-old if need be.
And according to Galetti, Osimhen is the player they have in mind.
‘Both deals could go through next summer, resulting in an incredible domino of strikers,’ he wrote.
Tottenham target Osimhen – factfile
Osimhen is one of the hottest properties in world football right now.
Since joining Napoli from Lille in 2020, he has registered 37 goals and 11 assists from 73 appearances.
Osimhen’s efforts have helped his team go top of the Serie A table. They are hoping for a first Scudetto since 1990.
The ‘phenomenal‘ striker has also registered a staggering 15 goals from 23 appearances with Nigeria.

As per Breaking the Lines, Osimhen ‘is an athletic, modern and strong striker (9) who has a strong eye for goal, is direct and is pretty good with his hold-up and linkup play.
‘He frequently looks to attack and create spaces, can receive the ball well with his back to the goal, has a good first touch and often times his runs perfectly.
‘At 185cm (6ft 1in) of height, while he may seem lanky and unathletic, Osimhen is actually a really good presser, useful in pinning back defenders and intercepting passes in the opponent’s third.
‘His pace is one of the deadliest parts of his game, especially in transitions as it allows him to get ahead of his opponents. In short, a modern number 9.’
Osimhen has been likened to Edinson Cavani, Diego Costa, Didier Drogba, George Weah and Marco van Basten.
