Report: Tottenham now want £43m Belgian international, Mbappe says he's the fastest player he's ever seen
Tottenham Hotspur are now being linked with a move for Jeremy Doku of Stade Rennais, by Jeunes Footeux.
Tottenham are apparently interested in the winger, with Nuno a big fan of him.
Spurs have been linked with Adama Traore heavily in recent days, but it seems that Doku has now emerged as an option on their radar.
Doku and Traore actually possesses similar qualities in the sense that they are both blessed with great pace and love taking players on.
“Doku’s speed is so exciting that Kylian Mbappe actually said he was the fastest player he has ever seen,” Mbappe told France Football.
“Recently, I was speaking with my father about a player who impressed me because of his speed qualities, that is (Jérémy) Doku, at Rennes.
“In 5 years as a professional, I have never seen someone from a standing start demonstrate so much power.”
At the age of just 19, Doku is also considerably younger than Traore, which could appeal.
Although the winger, who is valued at £43 million, may not have the same level of Premier League experience, he could be a hugely exciting addition to Tottenham’s line-up.
Doku showed what an asset he can be at Euro 2020, when he gave Italy a torrid time.
He also claimed eight assists and scored four goals last term in 44 appearances, which was an excellent return for a player of such tender years.
And if he was brought to Spurs he could be a hugely exciting addition not only for this season, but also for the years ahead.
