Tottenham will have to come up with £61m if they are to land Geoffrey Kondogbia this summer, according to a report from El Desmarque.
The midfielder is apparently one of Spurs’ top targets heading into the summer. Jose Mourinho is apparently keen on Kondongbia after a series of uninspiring performances from Tanguy Ndombele.

However, it appears the 27-year-old won’t be going anywhere for less than his release clause. And that clause stands at over 70m Euros (around £61m).
It means Spurs would need to once again splash the cash to land their man. Having previously spent over £53m (BBC) on Ndombele, the club may well be reluctant to part ways with such a sum again.

Kondogbia has become a key cog for Valencia in the last 12 months in particular. His performances have helped the Spanish giants to within touching distance of a Champions League place in La Liga.
Tottenham should be wary but Kondogbia looks the real deal – TBR View
While Ndombele has flattered to deceive, Spurs should have more confidence in Kondogbia doing the business.
At 27, he’s already got more experience and is coming into his prime. Furthermore, he’s got nearly ten years of experience under his belt playing in Europe’s top leagues.
If Spurs can get some of their money back for Ndombele then the signing of Kondogbia, even at £61m, would surely look to be a sensible one.
