Tottenham’s Eric Dier is reportedly in line to be offered a new contract and is set to have discussions with the club.
According to the Telegraph, the 25-year-old is set to land a fresh deal with Spurs and will be one of the next players to discuss terms.
It is understood that his new deal will be worth at leas £75,000-a-week, which would be an increase on his existing £60,000-a-week (Spotrac).
Dier had started to drift out to the fringes of the squad under Mauricio Pochettino, but the arrival of Jose Mourinho as manager has breathed new life into his Spurs career.
The English enforcer has been reinstated to the team by Mourinho and is playing on a far more regular bass.
He is a defensive midfielder that helps break up play and has shown signs of getting back to his best, but still has a way to go to convince all supporters.
Dier current contract is due to expire in 2021, but it looks like he will be pivotal moving forward.

TBR’s View:
It looked like Mourinho would take a fancy to Dier even before he walked through the doors and that has been exactly the reaction.
A new improved long-term deal would give a big boost to the midfielder and make him feel integral, but there are certainly areas of his game that need to improve.
His versatility to drop in at centre-back makes him an important squad player, but he needs to get back to breaking up play and quick distribution like he did when he originally burst onto the scene.
