Report: Tottenham make their move for player Bruno Fernandes has deemed 'top, top level'
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly approached Jesse Lingard’s representatives over a potential summer move.
Sky Sports has claimed that Spurs are eager to snap up the Manchester United and England attacker.
Lingard is currently out of favour at Old Trafford and is out of contract at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Tottenham aren’t short of wide players, though they could do with bolstering at No. 10.
Lingard spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham.
The 29-year-old was superb in London, registering nine goals and five assists from 16 games.
Back in May, Bruno Fernandes hailed his clubmate’s efforts on loan at West Ham.
“If you see Jesse, I think Jesse, at the moment, if you watch the last 10 games, has been top, top, top level,” he told United’s club website.
“For me, if you watch the last 10 games, he’s been the best player in the Premier League, scoring and assists in every game.”
Lingard opted to stay put at his parent club in 2021-22 but he continues to struggle for game time.
The England international is yet to feature in the Premier League at all under interim manager Ralf Rangnick.
As well as Tottenham, West Ham are reportedly still eyeing Lingard this year.
Indeed, David Moyes reportedly hopes United are prepared to do a cut-price deal for around £10million this month.

Lingard still has plenty to give in the Premier League and would be superb for Antonio Conte’s Tottenham.
As well as grabbing goals by himself, Lingard also creates chances and delivers pre-assist passes.
He thrives on high-tempo football and is so effective on the counter.
Lingard linking up with the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min would be a joy to watch.
