Tottenham Hotspur have made an approach to sign tricky PSG forward Angel Di Maria, according to French newspaper L’Equipe, via The Sun.
The former Manchester United man is out of contract with the Ligue 1 giants in the summer.
He has started every game under Mauricio Pochettino and although he wants to keep him, the club wants him to accept a drop in wages.
His current contract is up in the summer and Tottenham are keen to hand him a second chance to star in the Premier League.

Di Maria spent some time at Manchester United earlier in his career, scoring four goals and claiming 12 assists in 32 appearances.
Since moving to PSG he has really started to shine, becoming a regular in the team.
He has scored 86 times and registered 102 assists during 243 outings for the French champions.
Now, Jose Mourinho is monitoring the situation closely and could be set to pounce.
Di Maria is keen to secure a two-year deal from PSG as he bids to finish his career in Europe.
The 32-year-old is paid £218,000-a-week at Parc des Princes and they want the forward to accept a drop on his salary.
TBR View: Di Maria could thrive under Mourinho
In 137 games playing under the Tottenham boss at Real Madrid, Di Maria scored 25 goals and claimed 60 assists.
He was largely viewed as a regular in the team and was a player who Mourinho trusted a great deal.
The signing of Gareth Bale hasn’t really worked out for Tottenham and as a result, his loan might not be extended.

That could open the door for Di Maria to sign.
He’d be desperate to prove a point in England and would surely relish the chance to play under Mourinho.
Di Maria has 104 caps for Argentina and has typically done well wherever he has been throughout his career.
The one blemish perhaps came during his time in the Premier League and he’d surely love the chance to put that right.
