Reported Tottenham Hotspur target is apparently desperate to leave Bournemouth ahead of the October 5 deadline.
The Sun report that the Norway international wants out of the Vitality Stadium following the club’s relegation to the Championship.
Cherries boss Jason Tindall will not stand in King’s way, and it is claimed that Bournemouth would sell the player for a cut-price £10 million.
That could place Spurs on red alert, with Jose Mourinho supposedly considering the 28-year-old as a potential backup option for Harry Kane.
King has scored 50 goals in 168 appearances for Bournemouth, and has proven himself capable at Premier League level.
With Nathan Ake, Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser having all already departed, it is little wonder King wants to follow suit.
TBR’s View – Spurs’ chance to land a bargain
If Bournemouth really only want £10 million for King, then Spurs absolutely shouldn’t hesitate, especially with Torino reportedly interested as well.
King is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League.
He was very similar to Wilson in terms out his output, and was certainly often a handful for teams in the English top-flight.
He would potentially be a great option off the bench for Spurs if that was a role he’d be happy to play.
