Football London claim Tottenham Hotspur are expected to sanction the permanent exit of Juan Foyth to Villarreal for a fee of £13million – with the Argentina international impressing on loan with the Spanish club.
Foyth, 23, only ever started one Premier League match during Jose Mourinho’s reign as manager and that saw the Portuguese boss allow him to go on loan last summer. He chose to join Villarreal, despite many clubs wanting him.
It is a decision that has paid off. The 11-time Argentina international did not initially start as a regular with the La Liga side, but was a constant in their Europa League campaign and has since become first choice in the league.
Clocking up 25 appearances in total, Foyth has started Villarreal’s last seven La Liga matches and the latest report from Football London states that Tottenham are set to cash in on the defender – to the tune of £13million.

TBR’s view – £13million for Foyth suits all parties involved
While he has shown decent form with Villarreal, he needs regular game time in order to keep that momentum up and he is not going to get that at Tottenham. It suits Foyth to move on, and it suits Villarreal to keep him.
It also suits Spurs to cash in on Foyth – given he is not going to break past the likes of Toby Alderweireld, Joe Rodon, Eric Dier or Davinson Sanchez. It also gives Spurs some funds to bring in a new centre-back, which is needed.
