Tottenham are reportedly in pole position for attacker Andreas Skov Olsen from Danish top-flight club Nordsjaelland.

According to the Sun, Spurs lead the chase for the £10million-rated winger and a summer bid may arrive from them.

It is understood that Everton are keen on the 19-year-old, while Bayern Munich and Barcelona have also checked on him.

But the report details that Mauricio Pochettino’s success as Spurs manager with developing young players gives them the edge in the pursuit of his signature.

Olsen has been in stunning form this season, scoring a remarkable 26 goals in 44 games across all competitions.

The left-footed winger usually operates on the right flank to cut inside on his favoured foot and has scored some eye-catching goals this campaign.

He is a Denmark Under-21 international and many are tipping him to follow in the footsteps of Christian Eriksen.

TBR’s View:

Olsen is certainly a promising young talent that has ripped it up in homeland Denmark and will need a move away to one of Europe’s elite leagues to truly test himself at the highest level.

It would be a monumental leap if he did end up joining Spurs this summer and it would surely take him a bit of time to break into first-team contention.

But the dazzling wide man does have exceptional ability on the ball and the interest arriving for him suggests he could have a bright future in the game.

Pochettino is the perfect mentor for young players and he will have some of those involved in a Champions League final against Liverpool on Saturday.
