Tottenham Hotspur have launched a bid for Dodo of Shakhtar Donestk as they finally seek to solve their right-back problem, Globe Esporte reports.
Dodo deal not dead?
Tottenham’s offer was said to be worth around £17 million and comes just after Bayern Munich also had a bid turned down.
It seems that Shakhtar are still in no mood for accepting offers for their Brazilian full-back, as they have quickly told Tottenham that their current bid won’t be accepted.
It now remains to be seen whether Tottenham will go back in for Dodo or seek alternative options.
The news comes amid uncertainty over Serge Aurier’s future at Spurs.
Bad news for Doherty
It also could make bad reading for Matt Doherty, who is hoping to fight for his place at Spurs.

Many observers expected Doherty to be revitalised under his former boss, Nuno, but that may not be the case given Spurs’ apparent transfer plan.
Dodo is currently still only 22, and the Brazilian is renowned for his attacking quality.
He claimed seven assists in 34 matches for Shakhtar last term, when he became a mainstay in their starting line-up.
