Tottenham are said to be keen on signing Real Madrid defender, Eder Militao, according to a report from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.
Militao, 22, won the La Liga title with Madrid last season but has only made a handful of appearances this term under Zinedine Zidane.
The Brazilian is said to be interesting Jose Mourinho, who is still in the hunt for a new defender this January as he looks to ensure his defence has suitable options and cover.
Of course, that could mean the end of the line for Davinson Sanchez, who has long been considered a player Mourinho is not overly sold on.
Militao, meanwhile, could well improve Spurs’ chances. He’s of a good age in terms of development and being at Madrid, has experience of winning at the highest level, something Mourinho always values.
With six caps already for Brazil, Militao is clearly highly-rated and could well prove one of the missing pieces for Spurs.
A fine player but worrying for Sanchez once more – TBR View
It’s like the summer all over again when it comes to Sanchez, who simply doesn’t seem to have the trust of Jose Mourinho.
Eder Militao is a decent enough defender but he has slipped down the pecking order at Madrid. However, there’s no great shame in that, given they have Ramos and Varane as first-choices.
He’d be a solid addition for Spurs at the right price and is definitely a player with bags of potential in the locker.
