Tottenham have reportedly joined the race for Watford defender Christian Kabasele.
According to Belgian outlet Walfoot, Spurs are interested in the 28-year-old and looking for possible options to replace Jan Vertonghen, as his contract at the club expires in the summer.
The report adds that Arsenal are also looking at Wafford’s centre-back as a possible target.
This comes after Le10 Sport claimed that West Ham, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Arsenal are all keen on him.
Kabasele moved to Vicarage Road back in 2016 and since then has been a decent fit for English football.
The Belgian is an athletic centre-back with pace and power, while he reads the game well too and is fairly reliable.

TBR’s View:
Kabasele has shown in his peak form that he can be a colossus defender and there is potential for him to play at a higher level than Watford.
But it would be a big step to make the move to someone like Spurs and the pressure would be cranked up immediately on him.
With Vertonghen’s deal close to expiry, it will be no surprise to see him exit at the end of the season and Jose Mourinho’s side need a replacement lined up for that.
Kabasele would be a slightly underwhelming addition to replace Vertonghen on paper, but he could definitely surprise a few people.
