German outlet Sport1 have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are just one of a number of sides interested in signing Greuther Furth teenager Jamie Leweling this summer.
The German Under-19 international has broken into Furth’s senior side this season, clocking up 15 first-team appearances and has already made a decent impact – netting three goals and creating another for his side.
Such form has not gone under the radar. Given he is aged just 19, Leweling has caught the attention of Schalke who are considered to be leading the race for the winger. But Tottenham, Watford, AC Milan and Udinese are also interested.
Furth remain in contention with promotion to the top tier of Bundesliga football – as they sit in fifth place but nine points behind second-placed Stuttgart. Leweling has a contract at Furth until the summer of 2022.

TBR’s view – Leweling interest a bad sign for Jack Clarke?
Clarke was signed from Leeds in the summer of 2019 after breaking into Marcelo Bielsa’s side during 2018-19, but struggled at Elland Road after being loaned back to the Yorkshire club. A move to QPR has hardly proved any better.
Leweling is in a similar category to Clarke. Caps for his country at youth level and has scored a few goals for the senior side during his breakthrough season, like Clarke. But with Clarke since struggling after his Spurs move, Leweling could replace him.
