Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Rangers defender Borna Barisic for next season.
According to 90min, Spurs will make a move to try sign the left-back in the summer transfer window and are currently monitoring him.
It is understood that they are set to lose Jan Vertonghen when his contract expires at the end of the season and they also want to get rid of Danny Rose on a permanent basis, as he’s currently out on loan at Newcastle United.
The report details that Spurs scouts are impressed by Rangers full-back Barisic and it would take £22million to prize him away from Scotland.
Barisic is an attack-minded defender that has 14 assists in 37 games across all competitions this season and is a big star at Ibrox.
The 27-year-old has played an important role in Steven Gerrard’s Rangers side reaching the last 16 of the Europa League and shines on that stage, as well as being a starter for Croatia’s national team too.

TBR’s View:
There is no doubt that Spurs need to improve their full-back options going into next season and it should be a priority for manager Jose Mourinho.
Barisic is an extremely intriguing target for Spurs to consider and there would certainly be a big risk in signing him for £22million.
The left-back is one of the outstanding individuals at Rangers that looks good enough to play in the Premier League and he ticks a lot of boxes for a modern full-back, but there can sometimes be question marks over his defending and it would be a big leap up to join Spurs.
