Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala ahead of this summer.
According to the Daily Star, Spurs previously tried to sign the 27-year-old under ex-boss Mauricio Pochettino, and remain keen on potentially securing his signature now with Jose Mourinho at the helm.
It is explained that Spurs would first need to sell players to raise any transfer funds for a player valued at over £40million, plus there are some concerns about his recent knee ligament injury.
The report adds that London rivals Chelsea are potential suitors for Dybala, with a chance that Juventus offer both Premier League clubs the chance to sign him in the summer.
Dybala, who is best suited to a creative number 10 position, has made just 16 appearances across all competitions this season.
But the Argentine left-footer has 98 goals in 244 Juventus appearances.
It may be interesting for Spurs fans to hear that their former manager Pochettino described Dybala as a “special talent” back in 2018 (Daily Mail).

TBR’s View:
If Spurs manager to raise transfer funds this summer, Dybala would be an extremely intriguing target.
Both Spurs and Chelsea are not preparing bids for him as it stands, but he’s a high-profile player with real pedigree at Juventus that is being linked with English football for the first time in his career.
He’s a flair attacker that loves to express himself in the final third and is pleasing on the eye.
Additionally, his record of 15 goals in 48 Champions League appearances isn’t too bad for an attacking playmaker.
Spurs do though need to prioritise defensive improvements before looking in attack.
