Tottenham Hotspur should be making their first signing of the summer this weekend, according to reports.
However, Spurs fans should not get excited about a big name first-team arrival, with it expected that 15-year-old talent Alfie Devine will be the first man in for Tottenham this summer.
The Wigan Athletic midfielder was, as reported by the Daily Mail, the subject of a £500,000 bid from Tottenham earlier this week.
Now the Liverpool ECHO is suggesting Devine will be making the move this weekend. Devine, a former Liverpool academy player, will be on his way after a second approach from Tottenham was accepted, with the first bid turned away.

Wigan were controversially placed into administration recently and are now hoping to sell some of their best assets to lower the financial strain on the club enough to attract investors.
Tottenham have taken full advantage and will now secure the talented England under-16 international who has been training with Paul Cook’s senior side at Wigan this season.
His talents were highlighted by former Liverpool star and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher in a tweet criticising Wigan’s owners for putting the club in a position where Devine’s sale was necessary.
It is clearly a deal for the future, but one Tottenham will be hoping can eventually pay off.
Spurs fans will just hope it is followed by some decent recruitment for the first-team this summer.
