Despite recent reports suggesting that Tottenham Hotspur could be looking for a new left-back this summer, that is reportedly not the case.
Football.London is reporting that Jose Mourinho does not see the position as a priority this summer. It appears he is happy with Ben Davies as his first-choice defensive option and considers Ryan Sessegnon, Japhet Tanganga, and Dennis Cirkin as capable alternatives if needed.
Tottenham also still have Danny Rose on the books, although he does not appear to feature in Mourinho’s plans, as well as another youngster in Harvey White, who can also operate at left-back.
It comes amid recent reports that Spurs might be one of the teams hoping to swoop in and sign Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid this summer.

The Spanish defender, who has just excelled on loan at Sevilla, is said to be available for a fee in the region of £18 million-£22 million, as reported by MARCA.
Tottenham fans were likely excited by the opportunity to sign Reguilon but the report claims Spurs would only be interested if he became available at a bargain fee, similar to the one they have just negotiated for Matt Doherty to arrive from Wolves on the opposite flank.
Of course, the Irishman can also operate as a left-back, so it is clear that Mourinho believes that left-back is not an area of major concern for Spurs this season.
Instead, any more transfer funds will likely go toward finding an able alternative to Harry Kane in attack.
