Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in a move for RB Leipzig player Nordi Mukiele. That is according to a report from L’Equipe (23/04/20; pg 7), as relayed by Get French Football News.

It is suggested that Jose Mourinho and Tottenham are keen on the Frenchman as a potential solution to the club’s right-back problem.

It is claimed that Tottenham were thoroughly impressed by Mukiele’s performance against Spurs in the Champions League recently. The report claims that Spurs have made an approach to let the player’s entourage be aware of the club’s interest.

Mukiele was in fine form as Leipzig dumped Spurs out of the Champions League in style. Unfortunately, he had to be stretchered off in the second leg clash, after being knocked out in rather inconspicuous circumstances.

However, Tottenham will not be alone. Atletico Madrid are also keen and an unnamed Italian outfit.

Tottenham have been linked with Mukiele before. As reported by Sky Sports in January, Spurs were keeping tabs on the former Montpellier talent.

Tottenham are in need of reinforcements at right-back, with Serge Aurier struggling for form this season and Spurs lacking in suitable replacements.

A recent report from MaxiFoot suggested that Leipzig would value Mukiele at a figure in the region of €30 million (£26m) and at that price, Tottenham would be bringing in a top option to solve their problem position.
