Report: Tottenham Hotspur interested in signing Porto winger Luis Diaz
Tottenham are interested in signing Porto and Colombia winger, Luis Diaz, according to a report from Record.
The 23-year-old has had a fine season for the Portuguese giants, knocking in an impressive 14 goals in all competitions while adding a further seven assists.
And that form has seemingly caught the eye of Jose Mourinho, who is desperate to strengthen his Spurs squad this summer after a strong looking finish to the Premier League campaign.
Diaz, who predominantly plays in a wide left attacking position, only moved to Europe this past summer but has proven immediately how good he can be with some impressive displays in Porto.
Jose Mourinho is apparently a fan of the winger. The Spurs boss, then, could look to Daniel Levy to provide the funds to try and land Diaz over the coming weeks.
Diaz can also occupy any of the attacking positions despite his natural place on the left. Much like Heung-Min Son, the Colombian may provide Mourinho with cover and options at the top end of the pitch.

The signing of Steven Bergwijn injected some much-needed energy and speed into Spurs’ attacking options in January and Diaz might well have a similar impact on proceedings.
His form in Portugal has been excellent and at 23, you would assume he will go from strength to strength with better coaching and players around him.
Mourinho needs a player to take the pressure off Son and Kane. Given Diaz provided 21 goals this season, it would appear the 23-year-old might well be just the man he needs.
