Tottenham Hotspur are after yet another of Wigan Athletic’s fine talents, with reports suggesting the London club could be looking to secure a deal for Alfie Devine this summer.
It was reported by The Sun earlier this month that Tottenham were ready to take advantage of the Championship side’s fall into administration to secure both Joe Gelhardt and Jensen Weir.
Now, Devine is on their radar as well, according to the Daily Mail.
They claim that Tottenham are willing to pay £500,000 for the 15-year-old talent this summer.

The England under-16 star is a former Liverpool academy player who has starred for the Wigan’s youth team in this season’s FA Youth Cup.
Wigan knocked Tottenham out of the Youth Cup this season, before losing 2-1 to Manchester United in the sixth round. Devine featured for the Wigan under-23s this season as well as in England under-16s at the SportChain Cup in Spain last December. His performances in Spain were so impressive, he was named the player of the tournament.
Back in February, it was reported that Devine had caught the eye of teams around Europe with his performances for the England under-16s and that he had been training with Paul Cook’s senior side at Wigan by the Liverpool Echo.
So it is clear that Tottenham are chasing a potential young star. This might be one for Tottenham fans to keep their eye on going forward.
