Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly looked at Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik as a possible transfer target this month.

According to The Mirror, the Poland international is up for consideration by the north Londoners along with his compatriot Krzysztof Piatek and Lyon hitman Moussa Dembele.

Spurs are now being widely tipped to dip into the transfer market this January, with Harry Kane out until April.

The club announced yesterday that the England captain is to undergo surgery on his hamstring after limping out against Southampton on New Year’s Day.

Kane has ruptured a tendon, and is now set to miss the bulk of Spurs’ remaining fixtures this term in a devastating blow.

Milik is also being linked with a £60 million move to Manchester United (The Sun).

TBR’s view – Milik a source of firepower

Tottenham undoubtedly need to bring another striker in this month, and Milik is a goalscorer.

He has 10 goals in 12 appearances so far this season, and has an impressive record of 44 in 99 in total for the Italians.

The only issue is that Milik’s injury record in recent times has not been great, making his potential signing a bit of a risk.
