Italian outlet Fanta Calcio say that Tottenham Hotspur have seen a bid rejected for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic. The report says that the player really wants to join Tottenham – who see him as a possible replacement for Harry Kane. The offer Spurs have made is £34million.
Vlahovic, 21, has caught the eye after amassing a huge 21 goals in 37 Serie A outings last season. His form has even seen him earn seven caps for Serbia, scoring just two goals in those matches. Spurs have identified Fiorentina’s number nine as a possible option up top, if Kane leaves this summer.
A new report claims that Vlahovic is really keen on a move to Spurs, with the London club seeing him as ideal to replace Kane. A fee of £34million has been thrown out, though, with Fiorentina wanting £51million. It is said that a new offer could materialise ‘next week’. He has a contract until 2023.

Compromise needed between Tottenham and Fiorentina for Vlahovic, after rejected bid
While Vlahovic has been excellent for Fiorentina over the last 12 months, he is miles off Kane. He has all the attributes to become as good as Kane is in terms of being a goalscorer – but he certainly lacks the creativity of the Tottenham legend. For that reason, he is not worth the £51million price tag.
That, and that he has only really enjoyed one solid season – though he is 21 and it would be mightily impressive had he done it for two seasons. With Tottenham offering £34million and Fiorentina wanting £51million, the two need to compromise. For £45million, a deal could happen.
