Tottenham Hotspur are considering making a move for Southampton captain Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the final hours of the January transfer window, according to a report from Sky Sports.
Spurs have been busy during the final week of the month. Giovani Lo Celso’s loan was converted into a permanent deal.

And Jose Mourinho’s men announced on Wednesday that they have signed Steven Bergwijn from PSV Eindhoven.
But it appears that Tottenham may not be done yet.

Sky Sports reports that they are interested in Hojbjerg, who has made 23 Premier League appearances for the Saints this season.
TBR View – Southampton will surely snub Hojbjerg interest
Hojbjerg is not the first player to be linked with a move away from St Mary’s in January. Both Jannik Vestergaard and Che Adams have, or have had, question marks hanging over their futures this month.
Leeds had three bids rejected for Adams, with the latest including a clause that could have set up a £20 million summer move (via Yorkshire Evening Post).
Meanwhile, Vestergaard remains on the south coast amid interest from Leicester. And the Daily Echo has reported that the Saints would want more than £18 million for the defender.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men have dug their heels in over the pair. And yet, they have made fewer league starts this season between them than Hojbjerg.
It is surely too late in the window for Southampton to find a replacement for the former Bayern Munich man.
So it would be a huge surprise if Tottenham had any success in their late pursuit of the 24-year-old.
