Eurosport have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are taking a look at Brentford wonderkid Marcus Forss after enjoying a breakthrough start to the 2020-21 campaign with the Championship side.
Forss, 21, joined Brentford back in the summer of 2018 from West Brom’s academy – but prior to this season, he had only managed 12 senior appearances for the Bees. However, this term, the Finnish striker has been in stunning form.
Indeed, he has been handed 17 appearances by Thomas Frank and has repaid his manager with seven goals in 17 appearances. It comes after going out on loan to Wimbledon last season, where he scored 11 in 18 League One games.
His seven goals – five of which have come in the Championship – have seemingly alerted Tottenham. Borussia Dortmund are also interested in the three-time Finland international, but Daniel Levy is keen not to miss out.
TBR’s view – Forss an exciting young player, but harsh on Parrott?
Troy Parrott joined Millwall on loan at the beginning of the summer and the Ireland international has endured a tricky start to life with the Championship club. An ankle injury on his debut has seen him made to wait.
He has featured in Millwall’s last five games, but Parrott is still yet to score his first senior goal in professional football. As Forss continues to shine, Tottenham’s interest will grow. Parrott needs to start firing soon.
