According to Centotrentuno, Tottenham are expected to make an offer for Cagliari stalwart Nahitan Nandez, who West Ham and Leeds also want.
What’s the story?
Well, Leeds have been mentioned as a destination for Nandez all summer – he’s even said to be Marcelo Bielsa’s top target.
However, the Italian news outlet believe Tottenham are planning to swoop in and sign the 41-cap Uruguay international.
Centotrentuno claim that Spurs will submit a loan offer, which includes an obligation to buy Nandez next summer.
The sum of a permanent transfer is not disclosed.
Centotrentuno add that West Ham are keen, but Tottenham could blow them out the water if they sell Harry Kane and receive significant funds.
Nahitan Nandez seems likely to leave Cagliari

At this moment in time, Cagliari are furious with the South American after he went AWOL and skipped the club’s pre-season tour.
Nandez is trying to force an exit, and with a couple of weeks until the window ends, we presume he’ll get his wish.
Cagliari President Tommaso Giulini has also said that ‘a sale would help’ following the financial impacts of COVID-19.

Inter Milan are also keen, but Centotrentuno believe he would prefer a move to the Premier League in order to advance his career.
With Tottenham set to submit an offer, it will be interesting to see if Leeds or West Ham react – especially the Yorkshire-based outfit.
If he really is Bielsa’s top target, it’s time for Leeds to make a serious move.
