Tottenham have reportedly joined the pursuit to try sign Swansea CIty’s Daniel James in the summer.
According to Wales Online, Spurs have registered an interest in the 21-year-old attacker and are keen on the Championship ace.
It is understood that the in demand speed machine is also being eyed by Manchester City, Bournemouth and Leicester City.
The report details that it’s likely the Wales international will leave the Liberty Stadium in the summer amid Premier League interest.
According to BBC Sport, James is failing to reach an agreement over a new deal as he wants to include a £4million buyout clause in his contract and as it stands his current deal expires in 2020 with Swansea.
James is a rising talent that has made quite the impact in the Championship this campaign and managed to break into international scene too.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has helped develop young talent in recent years at the club and the Swansea speedster could fit the ball for a summer target.
He’s a rapid winger that would inject a fresh dynamism in the final third and he could leave pretty much any defender for dead in a sprint.
Pochettino could be the perfect mentor to help take the Welshman up another level, but it would take time and fans would have to resist the temptation to make comparisons with Gareth Bale.
