Tottenham Hotspur director of communications Simon Felstein has left the club.

According to Daily Mail, the key figure is leaving the club after 15 years at Spurs.

Felstein is a ‘savvy operator’ and well-liked among many in a hard role at the north London giants.

It leaves the club’s ownership in a tough spot after months of unrest among supporters. The deal to join the European Super League and the crisis in replacing Jose Mourinho has left many fans feeling angry.

The Daily Mail are claiming that workers at Tottenham were in ‘shock’ as they were made aware of the figure’s departure by email.

Tottenham need to be wary of upsetting fans

Recent events have seen some people in the club’s hierarchy earn the wrath of Spurs fans.

From signing up to a money-chasing scheme to the shocking fallout from Mourinho’s sacking, Tottenham are in freefall.

There seems to be a lack of trust from those supporting the team towards those who run it. And who can blame them?

Following the Super League debacle came the shocking chase for a new manager.

A string of rejections from various candidates, as well as failure to secure deals for others, have made the side look like a circus.

It means Tottenham need to wary of upsetting fans further amid the departure of a popular figure like Felstein.
