Tottenham defender Kyle Walker-Peters is being chased by two Premier League clubs on this summer’s deadline day.

According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace and Southampton are the top-flight pair in pursuit of him.

It is understood that Palace boss Roy Hodgson is impressed by the 22-year-old and still needs a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka at Selhurst Park.

Meanwhile, Southampton want to bring in another full-back at St Mary’s to compete with Yan Valery.

The report also details that Walker-Peters is “anxious” for regular first-team minutes this season.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side could always look to loan out the English defender if he wants more action, but the report doesn’t mention any potential exit and claims he may be needed at the start of the season.

The Sun previously reported that Spurs have blocked loan approaches already in this summer window for him.

With Kieran Trippier leaving for Atletico Madrid, a door has opened up at right-back in the first-team.

Walker-Peters looks primed to start in the first Premier League game against Aston Villa, as Serge Aurier is injured and Juan Foyth is suspended.

The young right-back could well have the opportunity to enjoy his breakthrough this campaign, meaning there will be no need to leave on loan.
