Tottenham may wait until the summer to try and sign RB Leipzig midfielder, Marcel Sabitzer, according to a report from The Athletic.
Sabitzer is a man in-demand following his fine form this season with the Bundesliga club. The skipper has three goals and three assists, with Leipzig firmly on contetion in both the league and Champions League.

Spurs are said to be keen on signing the Austrian midfielder, with Jose Mourinho a big fan of the 26-year-old. However, The Athletic claims that a deal is more likely in the summer, given current circumstances.
It is believed Sabitzer is happy to stay put for now but, come the summer, he will be in the final 12 months of his contract and it is believed his asking-price could drop to £30m or less.

That could well put him in the sights of Spurs, who spent a lot in the summer just gone and are, like most clubs, dealing with the financial implications of the pandemic.

Sabitzer is a brilliant midfielder and is looking better and better with each passing week. Should Spurs bide their time, then they might just be getting a player that can proper them to even more success.
Jose Mourinho is within touching distance of delivering a trophy to Spurs. The signing of Sabitzer, be it now or in the summer, can only enhance his club’s chances of further silverware down the line.
