Report: Tottenham could look at Ismaila Sarr in January
January is going to be a crucial month for Spurs as they look to finally kick on after a frustrating first-half of the season under Antonio Conte.
It appears that they are looking to sign another attacking option. Of course, they are currently without Richarlison after he sustained an injury at the World Cup. Meanwhile, Son Heung-min has really struggled to recapture the form that he showed last season.
Tottenham could look at Ismaila Sarr in January
Football London reports that Paratici has been monitoring Sarr.
The Watford star has been a superb signing for the Hornets. He has scored 30 goals and contributed 21 assists in 111 games for the club in all competitions.
One of his goals this season involved Sarr finding the back of the net from the halfway line in a win at West Brom. He was also in the Senegal squad which reached the last 16 at the World Cup, before losing to England.
He will not come cheap. Reports from the Daily Mail earlier this month claimed that his asking price has gone up to £45 million. But he has been an impressive performer in the Premier League previously, averaging a goal every five games.
Sarr has been described as a ‘frightening‘ player in the past. And he has the potential to improve considerably – especially if he is playing alongside the likes of Harry Kane and Dejan Kulusevski.
But clearly, he is going to cost an eye-watering sum given that he is currently plying his trade in the second tier.
