Tottenham Hotspur could be offered the services of Federico Bernadeschi in exchange for Tanguy Ndombele, according to reports in Italy.

Tottenham appear ready to let Ndombele leave the club this summer having failed to settle in since his club-record arrival last summer.

Juventus are said to be keen but would not be willing to pay the price-tag Spurs have slapped on the Frenchman’s head.

Instead, the Bianconeri could offer Tottenham a player and the Italian international appears to be the most likely option, according to Calciomercato.it.

Aaron Ramsey is also mentioned, but it has been made clear that the Welshman would not join Spurs due to his previous allegiance to bitter rivals Arsenal.

Bernardeschi joined Juventus from Fiorentina in 2017 in a reported (ESPN) €40 million (£36m) as Italy’s great midfield talent but has struggled to find consistency in Turin. Last season he featured both as an attacking midfielder or right-winger but registered just two goals and three assists in his 38 appearances.

Back in 2017, before his move to Juventus, it was reported by talkSPORT that Jose Mourinho was keen on bringing Bernardeschi to Manchester United as a transfer alternative to main target Ivan Perisic. He ended up failing to sign either player.

But given Tottenham are well stocked in the areas where Bernardeschi would likely operate it would seem an odd move if they were to accept this exchange.
