Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to continue their pursuit of Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik in the next transfer window.
The Polish striker is hot property this summer, with it appearing that his time at Napoli is coming to an end.
Tottenham have been linked before, but for the past few weeks, it has seemed Milik was Juventus bound.
According to Italian football journalist Alfredo Pedulla, in conversation with SportItalia (as reported by Area Napoli) Tottenham are pushing for a potential deal for the striker.
Tottenham’s interest has been helped by Dries Mertens signing a new contract to remain with Napoli, leaving the Serie A side more open to a potential sale.
Of course, Tottenham fans will know by now that the club once had a teenage Milik on trial, as reported by The Mirror, but decided not to bring him in as they had a certain Harry Kane in their academy in the same position and age group.
Now it seems Milik is going to be one of Tottenham’s main transfer targets going forward.
The Express reported in March that Milik would be valued at around £40 million. However, the current global health crisis could potentially see transfer prices for players drop.
Tottenham fans will no doubt hope the club can somehow secure a deal for a player who could be the perfect back-up or partner for Kane in North London.
