According to a report from The Telegraph, Tottenham are confident that Heung-Min Son will sign a new contract sooner rather than later.
The South Korean forward has been in sensational form and once again scored to fire Spurs into the League Cup final last night, as they saw off Brentford in the semis.
However, the likes of Son and Harry Kane’s form has caught attention from some of the world’s giants like Real Madrid, and Spurs are said to be keen they keep hold of their prized assets.
The Telegraph claims that Spurs are confident Son will sign a new deal, which could be worth over £200k-a-week to him and put him, for the moment, on a par with Kane in the highest earners club.
Son’s breathtaking form has seen him score 16 times already this term, with another eight assists. The latest report comes just days after the Daily Mail claimed talks had been put on hold with both Kane and Son, due to the ongoing pandemic.

For all the players fans might want their clubs to sign, Spurs won’t do anything more important than tying down Son and Kane to new deals.
It is good news, then, that the club feels confident in getting ‘Sonny’ to put pen to paper on new terms. If him and Kane do sign, it shows fresh intent from the club, which, in turn, will attract new players anyway.
It goes without saying that his is so so important for the club to resolve.
