Report: Tottenham close to third summer signing, medical planned this week
Tottenham are closing in on signing Yves Bissouma from Brighton and they have managed to agree a deal to land him.
The Times claim that the 25-year-old is all set to become Tottenham’s third signing of the summer after Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster.
Tottenham have been slow at getting deals over the line in previous windows but Antonio Conte seems to have inspired a change of approach.
A £25 million deal has been agreed as Spurs look set to get their business done as early as possible where they can this summer.
Tottenham agree Bissouma deal
Tottenham do not appear to have agreed personal terms yet, but the report says that the club are confident they will not prove to be a problem.
A medical is planned this week, which is an indication of how quickly the deal is moving.
The midfielder had a knee injury earlier this season and suffered an ankle problem last week but neither are expected to hamper the deal.
The report also says that signing Bissouma to partner Rodrigo Bentancur is another indication that Harry Winks will be sold this summer.
This one seems to have moved quickly and last week it was reported that Arsenal wanted the ‘sensational‘ Brighton midfielder.
This is a definite change in tack for Daniel Levy and Spurs, getting players in ahead of time so they can have a full pre-season and bed in.
Bissouma’s dwindling contract looks to have helped matters, as he was about to go into the final year of his Brighton deal.
