Turkish outlet Sabah have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have offered flop striker Vincent Janssen to former side Fenerbahce this summer, in a bid to offload the Dutchman.
The 24-year-old has struggled at Spurs since joining the club from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2016, managing just 42 appearances for the north Londoners over the last three seasons.
Spurs are set to wave goodbye to Fernando Llorente this summer with his contract expiring at the end of the month. It leaves Mauricio Pochettino without his main back-up striker to Harry Kane.
But Spurs are willing to get rid of Netherlands international Janssen, too. Indeed, they are said to have offered him the chance to move back to Turkey where he spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan.
He scored just five goals in 18 games for Fener, but his season was cruelly ended early due to a long-term foot problem that also kept him sidelined for much of last season. It is believed any move would be a permanent one.
Janssen needs to be sold. Even though he managed a couple of cameo roles towards the end of the Premier League campaign, the Dutch striker simply has not done enough.
A move back to Fener would be a solid transfer for a striker that has proven the Premier League can be too much for some players.
