Football site 90Min claim that nine Premier League clubs have made an enquiry to sign Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier. Tottenham want him back, along with Newcastle, Everton, Aston Villa and more.
Tripper, 31, left Tottenham in the summer of 2019 to join Atletico Madrid. Since leaving, the England defender has been excellent under Diego Simeone – clocking up 84 appearances in all competitions, and winning La Liga.
Of course, Trippier spent four years at Spurs – playing 114 times for the North London club. He has a contract at Atletico Madrid until the summer of 2023 and the Spanish side are seemingly open to waving goodbye to him.
Trippier has made no secret of his desire to return to the Premier League. The Mail claim that Trippier is a priority for Newcastle United – and Atletico will demand a similar fee they bought him for, around £20million.

Which club is best for Trippier – Tottenham, Newcastle or elsewhere?
90Min say nine clubs have made enquiries to sign Trippier. The report names seven; Tottenham, Newcastle, Everton, Manchester United, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Wolves have all asked about Trippier.
Villa have Matty Cash, Tottenham only just signed Emerson Royal. Manchester United might want to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka but Diego Dalot has been excellent. Crystal Palace could do with Trippier.
But would he really go to Palace – or Wolves? The best fit might be Everton, who need to replace the ageing Seamus Coleman. Working under Rafa Benitez would be similar to that of Simeone. For any, Trippier a bargain at £20million.
