Tottenham ask about McNeil

McNeil did not have the best year for Burnley, by any means. He failed to score a single goal in the Premier League. And he only contributed one assist.

Tottenham would obviously want the youngster to be considerably more productive if he joined Antonio Conte’s squad. But there is absolutely no question that he is a fantastic prospect with a really bright future ahead.

He has played nearly 150 games for the Clarets. And he does not even turn 23 until November.

Jamie Redknapp once noted that he has a ‘lovely left foot‘. And he works incredibly hard for the team. His most impressive statistics from this past season are his defensive numbers.

Tottenham are building a really talented, hungry group of players. And McNeil’s ability to make a contribution at both ends of the pitch highlights why Conte would probably welcome the chance to work with him.

But obviously, Tottenham are not the only side in the running to sign McNeil by any means.
